Okay, so it’s my first time to write a review of a cell phone. I had this phone for two months now and I observed it’s ups and downs. I still think it’s a nice phone though. It just needs to be taken care of. Here are the common details about the phone: CLICK!

PROS:

-nice music player

-threaded messages

-nice camera (not so blurry compared to other phones claiming they have 2/3mpxl but the pictures suck)

-fast wi-fi browsing using opera mini or the facebook and twitter apps

-you can download lots of games (java) and songs and files (but files can only be read using the computer- you have to transfer them)

-USB charger/connector

-cheap price (I bought it for P3400)

Unlike other people who wrote a review about this, I don’t feel like I’m using a smartphone. It’s just a normal phone with normal features but I think it lacks a lot of those “normal” features I was looking for. Honestly, I was expecting that in spite of it having bluetooth, wi-fi, microSD card, threaded messages, it lacks a few options that I was looking for. My previous phone had these features but this alcatel 813D had not. (My previous phone was Nokia 1680) Sometimes I think that phone is much better. However, the price range is not that far from the Nokia 1680 when I had it years ago. But now that phone costs much cheaper. :))

Here are the COMMON features it lack:

-font size changer for messages (it’s too big that the person at my back could read what i am typing) i just wish i could make it smaller

-THERE IS NO TIME ON THE MESSAGE. (Okay, how do I explain this?) When you receive a text, the time would be shown only for that day. After that day, the time would become the day when it was sent. So you won’t have any idea what time it was sent to you or you sent it. You will only know that for one day. The day that you sent it.

-while texting on the threaded message, you wouldn’t know how many characters you are typing already

-does not automatically capitalize the first letter of the sentence

-you won’t be able to read files on the phone using your computer through bluetooth (you can only do that by using the USB connector that comes with the phone)

-cannot change the theme

-cannot read .pdf files (only .txt)

-Short battery life (for me cause I keep on comparing it to my old phone which lasts 3-5days) cause this one only lasts for 1-2 days if used thoroughly but of course longer if not used that much

-LOOOONG CHARGING TIME :( 3 hours o.O

-the earphones that came with the phone just SUCKS.

Sorry alcatel, I just had to write these things. The common features like the font and the time for the messages are really important to me. As for the other things this phone lacks, I accept those since I know this phone is too cheap to be perfect. :)) Okay, those are all I can say about this phone. Gonna save up for a new one. One that shows the time of my texts. :))

When I log in to twitter, all I see is people flaunting their lifestyle. On facebook, people bored who post anything that they see.

I’m bored and I want to talk to a lot. I wanna be busy. I wanna eat. But I can’t seem to do these things. I don’t always have load on my phone. Don’t have a lot of money, food and people to talk to. My life is so depressing.
